Machining

Our machine shop handles our customers’ custom needs. This includes "one offs", reverse engineered as well as production runs and repetitive orders.

It’s not the machinery, but the ability of the people who operate it that has given Sandrin Services Inc. this distinguished recognition. Sandrin personnel are constantly called upon to apply their diverse skills to solve customers mechanical problems & assisting in root cause solutions. With twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week availability, Sandrin personnel can reach clients from Ontario, Michigan and surrounding areas.’

By using our own equipment, we can be available "at a moment's notice" to haul pieces of machinery such as turbines, gearboxes, or crankshafts back to our 40,000 square foot facility. Here we can take remedial action, which in turn, limits plant downtime.

Sandrin Services Inc. operates a complete line of machinery and equipment to complete jobs with precision and speed, including a variety of lathes, boring mills, radial drills, milling machines, and cutting, grinding, and polishing equipment.

CNC Manufacturing

Sandrin Services Inc. produces special purpose turned and milled components from a number of alloy materials to exceedingly high standards for use in various industries.

The manufacture of specialty detail tool and dies as well as prototype work for the petrochemical industry has been an integral part of Sandrin’s growth. To support this growth, we are currently operating under the ISO 9001:2015 quality control standards.

Our CNC machining equipment is specifically designed for long and short production runs requiring tolerances of up to .0005”. Our Mazak bridge type machining center with a spindle speed of 5000 RPM, and two pallet changers has machining capacity of 18” X 20” X 40”. In 2022, we have added a Trak 2470 CNC/manual lathe to our CNC department.

Our Mazak Turning Center Quick Turning center has a 12” X 40” capacity and is specifically designed for small lot production runs. Factory trained set up operators are capable of programming for the next set up while machine is in operation. Programs are saved and filed with special tooling and detailed set up information for easy access for repeat runs.

Our automated production sawing capacity is 14” with a 30” Bar Feed of three stages, for a total length of 90”. The cutting area is serviced with overhead cranes to facilitate material handling. Material and cutting are contained within a quality-controlled area to ensure our material traceability requirements are met under ISO 9001:2015. The inspection department maintains their equipment within a secured area.

Prototype Capabilities

Sandrin Services Inc has worked directly with customer personnel and engineers in the design and development of new products, equipment customization. This practice involves a close working relationship with the customer as well as detailed knowledge of machining + mechanical principles and practices in order to accomplish the required results.
